Air Commodore Retd Sattar Alvi

Fl. Lt (Later Air Cdre) Sattar Alvi

When the Yom Kippur war broke out, Alvi was one of the Pakistan Air Force fighter pilots who volunteered to go to the Middle East in order to support Egypt and Syria. By the time they arrived, however, Egypt and Israel had already concluded a ceasefire and only Syria remained in an active state of war against Israel.Alvi, who was serving at a rank of Flight Lieutenant in 1973, joined the Syrian Air Force along with future-Air Chief Marshal of the Pakistan Air Force, Nur Khan. The PAF fighter pilots flew in a formation using the call-sign "Shahbaz" under Air Marshal Nur Khan (Late).

On 26 April, 1974, PAF fighter pilot Flight Lieutenant Sattar Alvi on deputation to No. 67A Squadron, Syrian Air Force (SAF) was flying a SAF MiG-21F-13 Fishbed (Serial No. 1863) out of Dumayr Air Base, Syria in an eight-ship formation with a fellow PAF pilot and the Flight Leader, Squadron Leader Arif Manzoor.

Alvi came to a worldwide international notice when he had shot down the IAF's Mirage IIICJ flown by Captain M. Lutz. On 26 April 1974, while on an aerial patrol, the PAF fighter pilots team including, Flight Lieutenant Captain Sattar Alvi, Squadron Leader Major Saleem Metla and the formation's leader Squadron Leader Major Arif Manzoor. The Shahbaz faced an encounter over Golan Heights between a Mig-21 of the Syrian Air Force and two Israeli Mirages.

While leading a Mig-21 patrol along the border, Squadron Leader Arif Manzoor apprised of the presence of two Israeli Phantom aircraft and was cautioned that these could be decoys while two other fast tracks approaching from the opposite direction might be the real threat. The latter turned out to be Mirages and a moment later Alvi, in Arif’s formation saw the No 2 Mirage breaking towards him.All this time, heavy radio jamming by Israeli ground stations was making things difficult but the Pakistani pilots were used to such tactics. Sattar forced the Israeli pair into close combat, firing his K-13 missile at the first opportunity. The Israeli wingman’s Mirage exploded into a ball of fire, while the leader quickly disengaged.

After the engagements, Flight Lieutenant Captain Sattar Alvi and Shahbaz formation leader Squadron Leader Major Arif Manzoor were awarded two of Syria’s highest decorations for gallantry, the Wisaam Faris and Wisaam Shuja’at in 1973 by the President of Syria Hafez al-Assad in a public ceremony. The government of Pakistan also awarded the PAF fight pilot Sitara-e-Jur’at each. The prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto personally met each of them and awarded the gallantry awards in a public ceremonies.

US-Pak ties are not perfect-Gwadar's Strategy Failed

Top US officials’ sure US-Pak ties are not perfect.

The top US officials sure that PK-US ties are not on perfect stage, they confirm that NATO strikes have change anything with US-PK ties. Now Pakistan only gives limited cooperation against war on terrorism.

According to a US Newspaper who refused to say the names of US-Pak officials who confirm that due to this situation there will bring huge difficulty against the activities against extremists. It also affects on supply to Afghanistan for NATO, ISAF and US troops.

Senior US official said that we have close all the 9/11 related chapters. Pakistan also clearly told that they will revise everything related to PK-US Ties. The relations and connections are come on bottom line since NATO strike on Salala Check Post in late November. Pakistan also refused to accept US-NATO investigation reports in which declared that both sides were responsible for this incident.

The Pakistan’s dream to make Gwadar as a greatest financial point for the region has been destroyed and the islands which have to become a golden sparrow is not looking like a ghost temple. According to a British newspaper’s report that war against terrorism is continue with afghan border and the coastal with Iran till to Makran is facing extremist’s activity and this is not the focal point of world’s attention.

Newspaper wrote that it was the hope that Gwadar will be the center point of shipping, trading, industrial activity and this port will be a link for central Asia's oil and gas development and Pakistan will enable to give support to central Asian countries to move their freights.
The port is ready to welcome ship and the work has been finished with the help of Chinese authorities but this port is looking like a ghost palace. Empty plots are waiting for builders, which promised by government and builders but yet not fulfill. Another fact is that instead to give operating rights to china, government give this port to Singapore on three years lease.

One of Chinese harbor engineering company has also invested 200 Millions but projects are still pending as India is feeling fear from china’s insertion in this region. It’s also a fact that Baloch nationalists are also a hurdle against the development in Gwadar. In history Gwadar was a safe heaven for smugglers, especially for human smuggling. Human smuggler smuggled peoples and job seekers to Middle East and Europe and western countries.

Hopes are alive for continue of this great game which is the main hurdle against the Gwadar development.

Dunn prepares for Games Test

Article written by KATE BUTLER:

Oliver Dunn usually only takes his cochlear implant out at night but that will change in the next few weeks. It’s all in the name of preparation for the Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Club member, who will contest the 2012 Australian Deaf Games in Geelong.

Oliver Dunn is ready to perform in ADG-2012
The 16-years old have been profoundly deaf since he was two years old due to meningitis and since then, he has worn a cochlear implant. But as a participant of the deaf games, he is required to play without it, which means he will be doing just that in the lead-up to the event.

“I played without my cochlear implants on late Saturday and I played pretty well,” he said.

“I’ll have to practice without it more.”

Oliver, who cannot hear anything without his implant, was excited about making his debut at the Australian Deaf Games, which will be held from January 14 to 21, 2012.

“I want to get some experience and I want to know how others play and how good they are,” he said. “It will be good to have a go.”

With the games being his maiden major deaf event, he will use them to weigh up whether to compete in more Deaf Sports Australia (DSA) events in the future.

DSA has kept an eye on Oliver’s progress since making contact with him about three years ago. A promising performance at a point’s tournament in Bairnsdale has potentially led to him being selected to represent Victoria State at the games.

Oliver is coached by Warrnambool’s Matt Moloney and has played pennant since he was 10. His tennis schedule includes junior and senior competitions locally. The Australian Deaf Games are the pinnacle of deaf sporting events in Australia, welcoming more than 15 sports ranging from beach volleyball to touch football.

The 2012 games mark the first time in 29 years the event has been held in Victoria, while Geelong is taking on hosting duties for the first time. The event is held every four years.

Only your lord can convert your conditions

ONLY YOUR LORD CAN CONVERT YOUR CONDITIONS

When the entire world’s writer write about Fir’on and his torture’ history, and his storm of egotistical, they present him like a person, which gets power through his strength, solidity & moves capacity, and make tight the land for peoples. They also present him like a goddess and a totally supreme authority person.

He was with entire treasures, he gives who he like and he stop when he annoyed with somebody. His target was a nation and that was Jews (Bani-Israel). Everyone can find clues about his tortures not only Jew’s writer’s books but also can find from entire world’s writers books. Each writer describes all this like an atrocious and downtrodden story.

Fir’on takes every tough work from the Jew nation, he always try at his best to make difficult their life and days. But when you open the Quraan, you will go in deep wonder to learn & consider that ALLAH said “I have saved you from the worst ever persecution of fir’on who slaughter your males and left alive your females” Sura Al-Baqra.

At Ayat No. 49 of Sura Al-Baqra ALLAH said “remember our beneficences when we have make you free from fir’ons’ torture and they were give you huge afflictions, they kill your males and left your females alive and it was the biggest assay from your lord”.

Dominate of firon on Israeli Nation was a test from the lord. And the lord also makes them free from affliction with his blessings. The same basic criterion also described on another place in Quraan as “No adversity come itself but only when lord wishes, and peoples who faith on lord, lord give the right directions to their hearts and Lord is informative with everything” Sura Al-Tughabun – 11.

Dominate of atrocious rulers on nations, tortures of peoples, and the limit of the government on them increase or decrease are the tremendous assessment from their lord. This criterion is also described by our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace and Blessing of ALLAH be upon him) that Bani-Israel quest from Harzat Musa (A.H) that how can we come to know that our lord is happy or angry with us? Hazrat Musa replied, when your lord is happy with you, he give you the best rulers, and when he angry with you he dominate the worst rulers on you who tight hard your days and nights.

Impose of atrocious rulers and their torture is the assessment from your lord. If you connect back to your lord to avoid this assessment, and ask your lord to help, and request to forgive your sins, then your lord will eliminate this assessment from you. But if you think that you are powerful and you can make a change, and ocean of peoples is with you, and you can grab these atrocious rulers from their palaces and take them out with power, then this bigheaded and pride change that assessment into torment.

History is witness about it that when peoples stands and they grab the atrocious rulers and sign their death warrants, beat them, their heads cutoff from their bodies and their dead bodies hang on for several days, but when the revolutionist turn back and they saw that another awful ruler take place of old one.

After revolution in France Napoleon take charge, in Russia when peoples get ride off Zaar’s era they faced another torture from communists, which give them Stalin who was worst then wild animals and he made the Serbia’s snowfields as graveyards.

Despite of all sacrifices the world always has doubt on Pakistan:
Pakistan has give huge sacrifices against war on terrorism and bear uncountable people’s lives and huge financial loose. Despite of all sacrifices the world always has doubt on Pakistan.

Justice for Tuba - Are we Live in Modern Era ???

Extreme of Ignorance

It is our duty to stop the extreme of ignorance, in this context I am sharing the incident which happened to Tooba. She was brutally murdered by her in-laws & husband just after 10 months of her marriage. She was 7 months pregnant and they killed her with her baby daughter. Why this happen to a girl who is Some one's daughter, Some one's sister, Some one's Toobi, and Smiles & Care for everyone.....

We don't know why they did such shameful thing to Tooba, why?

Why they killed Tooba along with her daughter. Here are two reasons for killing daughter / son

1- Filicide
2- Honor killing

Filicide:
Filicide is the deliberate act of a parent killing his or her own son or daughter. The word filicide derives from the Latin words filius meaning "son" or filia meaning daughter and the suffix -cide meaning to kill, murder, or cause death. "A filicide" may refer to the parent who killed his or her child as well as to the criminal act that the parent committed.
In some cultures, killing a daughter who is deemed to have disgraced the family is a common occurrence -see honor killing.

A 1999 US Department of Justice study concluded that between 1976 and 1997 in the United States, mothers were responsible for a higher share of children killed during infancy, while fathers were more likely to have been responsible for the murders of children age 8 or older.

Furthermore, 52% of the children killed by their mothers were male (maternal filicide), while 57% of the children killed by their fathers were male (paternal filicide). Parents were responsible for 61% of children murders under the age of five; filicide is the third leading cause of death.

Honor Killing:
An honor killing or honor killing is the homicide of a member of a family or social group by other members, due to the belief of the perpetrators that the victim has brought dishonor upon the family or community. Honor killings are directed mostly against women and girls, but have been extended to men.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) estimates that perhaps as many as 5,000 women and girls a year are killed by members of their own families. Many women's groups in the Middle East and Southwest Asia suspect the number of victims is about four times greater.

According to Dr. Shahrzad Mojab, a University of Toronto professor of women’s studies, followers of Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Christianity have used their religions as a rationale to commit honor killings. However, Mojab stated that honor killings don't have "any definite connection with religion at all." She also pointed out that honor killings have been practiced before any major religion came into existence.

Think Before kill dreams
Actions of Pakistani police officers and judge have, in the past, seemed to support the act of honor killings in the name of family honor. Police enforcement, in situations of admitted murder; do not always take action against the perpetrator. Also, judges in Pakistan, rather than ruling cases with gender equality in mind, also seem to reinforce inequality and in some cases sanction the murder of women considered dishonorable.

Kremlin-appointed Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov said that honor killings were perpetrated on those who deserved to die. He said that those who are killed have "loose morals" and are rightfully shot by relatives in honor killings. He did not vilify women alone but added that "If a woman runs around and if a man runs around with her, both of them are killed."

In 2007, a famous Norwegian Supreme Court advocate stated that he wanted the punishment for the killing from 17 years in prison to 15 years in the case of honor killings practiced in Norway. He stated that the Norwegian public did not understand other cultures that practiced honor killings, or understand their thinking, and that Norwegian culture "is self-righteous".

In 2008, Israr Ullah Zehri, a Pakistani politician in Balochistan, defended the honor killings of five women belonging to the Umrani tribe by a relative of a local Umrani politician. Zehri defended the killings in Parliament and asked his fellow legislators not to make a fuss about the incident. He said, "These are centuries-old traditions, and I will continue to defend them.

Only those who indulge in immoral acts should be afraid."

Nilofar Bakhtiar, Minister for Tourism and Advisor to Pakistan Prime Minister on Women's Affairs, who had struggled against the honor killing in Pakistan, resigned in April 2007 after the clerics accused her of bringing shame to Pakistan by Para-jumping with a male and hugging him after landing.
